On Saturday February 7, 2015, Professor John Reshetar passed away at age 91 following complications from a heart attack. In the 1960s and 1970s, Prof. Reshetar taught political science at the University of Washington and served as department head for some of that time. He authored several textbooks, some of which are still in use today. He was a brilliant teacher and a wonderful human being who will be missed by all.
Prof. Reshetar leaves behind his wife Helene, the love of his life for over 60 years, in Tucson Arizona where they lived in retirement for the past 15 years.
There will be a memorial service following 11 AM Orthodox church service Thursday February 12th to be held at the old chapel of the Episcopal Church of the Epiphany located at 1805 38th Avenue in Seattle. Professor Reshetar will be interred at the St Andrews Ukrainian Cemetery at 240 Main St, South Bound Brook, NJ.
